The Ubercross C-Spot is the largest crossword puzzle ever built that follows "American rules:" no repeated words, no uncrossed squares, no two-letter words, and, somewhat less objectively, nothing too obscure!

This puzzle's architecture owes a great deal to the previous record-holder, the 1949 Robert Stilgenbauer, constructed without computer assistance! And its existence owes a great deal to its Kickstarter supporters, especially Rumination Software, whose generous donation gave me the funds to justify its existence.

However, the puzzle is so large, it causes problems in every system I've used to present it to the public... Across Lite, Crossword Solver, a straight-up Java interface, and others. Some simply refuse to present it at all, others make it too small to be legible. There are save errors, unexpected shutdowns. I'm now working with Rumination to build a stable, enjoyable multi-platform interface for the puzzle. If you're a member of the press, and want to sample my current best efforts for the Web and Crossword Solver, you can e-mail me and I'll send them.
